Torin Bond, age 24, of Fairfield, CT, most recently living in Rochester, NY, was taken from us all too soon in an automobile accident on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Torin was born June 11, 1990 at the US Naval Hospital in San Diego, California, and moved with his family to Fairfield at age 5. He attended Sherman Elementary, Tomlinson Middle School, and graduated from Fairfield Ludlowe High school with the class of 2008. Torin was a varsity athlete and captain of the Fairfield Fencing Team. He is a 2012 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, earning a B.S. degree in Information Technology. Upon graduation he was quickly hired as a web developer for Dixon Schwabl in Victor, NY. In January 2014, Torin joined the team of Accelerate Media of Rochester, who are devastated by the loss of their friend and co-worker. Torin joined the Tiger Cubs and Cub Scouts while at Sherman, and crossed over to Troop 82, BSA, where he was an active Scout and Leader. He served in many leadership roles with the Troop, including Senior Patrol Leader, and earned his Eagle Scout badge on July 17, 2008. Torin also worked as a Camp Counselor and Administrator at BSA Camp Sequassen, where he had spent many wonderful summers as a Scout developing his love of the outdoors that remained central to his life forever. Torin's other interests included progressive music, VW Golfs, Frisbee, cycling, eclectic unusual movies, cool Legos, and computer gaming. He was a joyous, happy young man, whose zest for life and transparent enthusiasm for all the wonders of the world enveloped those around him. Torin is most remembered for his smile that lit the room and spread happiness wherever he was. His favorite color was yellow; the color of sunshine and joy. Torin is survived by his loving parents Byron and Lisa Bond, his beloved siblings, sister Caity and brother Garrett, and his loving grandparents Cheryl and Jim Byfield and Rochelle Saperston. He is also survived by Uncles, Adam, Eric, and Shawn; Aunt Kara; and cousins Bradi, Brianna, Kristin, Lily, and Raya. Torin lived his life surrounded by wonderful friends in the communities which he lived. We are grateful for their love for Torin and our family. A Memorial service for Torin will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Rd, Fairfield CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in Torin's memory may be sent to: Bryan LeClerc, esq., Trustee, 75 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460, or www.TorinBondFund.com where they will be used to refurbish and expand the Frisbee Golf course at Camp Sequassen, CT.
