Vincent James Gaccione, Jr.

Vincent J. Gaccione, Jr., age 79, beloved husband of 54 years to Catherine (Sansone) Gaccione, of Fairfield, passed after a long illness the evening of Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Vincent attended Brooklyn Tech High School, then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at St. John’s University, then his master’s degree at Baruch College. For many years Vincent worked as a Marketing Manager and Director of Sales for various companies across New York and Connecticut. Vincent was also an adjunct professor of business at Pace University and Quinnipiac University. He enjoyed watching sports, cheering on his three favorites, New York Giants, New York Mets, and the St. John’s University Red Storm basketball team.

In addition to his beloved wife Catherine, Vincent is survived by his two children; Ellen Sutton, of Fairfield, and Vincent J. Gaccione, III; as well as his grandson, Colin Sutton. Vincent is predeceased by his younger brother, Dennis Gaccione. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Cambridge Manor for the excellent care they provided for Vincent during his stay.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10:00am.
