Wayne Scott Harrison, long time Fairfield resident, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021. Wayne was born May 28, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to Roy and Anna (Bell) Harrison. He grew up in the Pittsburgh area and graduated from Bucknell University in 1951 with a degree in Commerce & Finance; he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. On 29 Feb 1952 (Leap Year), Wayne married Jeanne Wilson in Mount Lebanon, PA. He worked in corporate insurance for several large corporations including ALCOA, AMP Inc., AMF, and GTE. Wayne and Jeanne settled in Fairfield in 1968 with their four children. Wayne was active with the Shriners/Masons, Lion’s Club and First Church Congregational. He was also often seen helping Jeanne with her painting of Fairfield fire hydrants. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne, his sister Esther, and daughter Terri Jeanne Rotondo. He is survived by his children Wayne Scott Harrison, Jr. (Hyun Jung) of Clearwater, FL, Robert Harrison (Mary Ellen) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Beth Perkins of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Wayne will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, friends, community, and Pittsburgh sports franchises. Known about town for his helping hand and quick wit, he will be dearly missed and forever cherished. Wayne will be buried with fellow Harrison family members in Dravosburg, PA. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. To offer an online condolence, please visit www.spearmillerfuneralhome.com
