Bill, a devoted son and loving father was born February 16, 1945 in Bridgeport CT to Catherine Anne Murphy and Joseph Vincent Addenbrooke. Bill graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport and after attending college in New Hampshire and joining the Army Reserve, he joined the Bridgeport Fire Department, a job he truly loved. Bill worked as a firefighter for 15 years until he was forced into early retirement due to an injury sustained while fighting a fire. Bill's hard work ethic lead him to happily continue working six days a week at Saveway Tire in Stratford with close friend and fellow retired fireman Richard Tuzzoli. He remained at Saveway until the day before his surgery.
Bill is survived by his three children, Tara Coelho (Nick), Jennifer Barna (Peter), and William Addenbrooke Jr (Dena), 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cousins and his ex-wife Gail Addenbrooke with whom he always remained close. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Addenbrooke and Catherine Murphy, brothers Thomas Addenbrooke (Shirley Addenbrooke), Richard Addenbrooke, Raymond Addenbrooke, and daughter Christine DeFelice.
