Born December 27, 2004, the son of Katy Biscone and Scott Therriault, peacefully passed away on September 14, 2017 due to complications from his lifelong fight against Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Although Billy was unable to walk and talk, he had the astounding ability to reach people in ways that spoke louder than words. Billy graduated 5th grade from Dwight Elementary School and was a student at Roger Ludlowe Middle School. He was an avid fan of Eli Manning and the New York Giants and was the honorary captain of the Fairfield Giants Pop Warner football team. Above all, Billy loved going to church and spending time in the presence of his loving family, friends, and nurses.
Billy taught us to be patient and kind and to persevere through life's difficulties while enjoying each day. He was a true hero to us all and touched every person that had the privilege of knowing him. Billy was able to live such a rich and rewarding life thanks to his devoted mother Katy, who displayed an unwavering commitment to her beloved little boy.
He is survived by his mother, Katy Biscone, his sisters, Alexandra and Ella Therriault, his grandparents Kathleen and John Biscone of Altamont NY, Thomas and Sharon Therriault of Saratoga Springs NY., Sylvia and Charles James of Schenectady, NY., and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins of the Biscone and Therriault family. Billy was predeceased by his father, Scott Therriault.
Billy's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to his many teachers and caregivers for their dedicated service over the past 12 years. Our family is especially grateful for his home care nurses who loved and cared for him daily as if he was their own.
